For guests reserving a Sky & Sea fare that includes air travel arranged by Explora Journeys, the company assumes responsibility for coordinating alternate travel in the event of airline-imposed delays or cancellations that may result in a missed embarkation. In such cases, Explora Journeys will make reasonable efforts to rebook the guest on to the next available flight and, if necessary, will provide ground transportation, accommodation, and arrangements to join the vessel at the next feasible port of call.
This protection applies only when flights are reserved through Explora Journeys as part of the Sky & Sea fare and does not extend to airfare booked independently by the guest or via third parties. Explora journeys’ obligations are limited to assistance and coverage directly related to airline operational issues (e.g., schedule changes, cancellations, missed connections). Delays or disruptions caused by guest actions (e.g. late arrival to airport, documentation issues, or refusal of rebooked flights) are not covered.
Explora Journeys assumes no responsibility for indirect costs, emotional distress, or other non-financial impacts arising from delays or itinerary changes beyond its control. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover additional risks not assumed under the Sky & Sea fare, as stated in Section 4.
